SPJIMR - Agritech Investment Project

We partnered with SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) to provide students with exposure on evaluating startups for investment in the Agritech space. The engagement involves activities including an interactive session to discuss investment criteria, evaluation of startups in the Agritech space, and discussions with Agritech startup founders to understand factors that affect technology-related decisions in the Agritech space.

We organized a Founder-interaction session for the SPJIMR students with founders of Agritech startups to discuss and understand challenges, and decision-influencing factors in this industry. The speakers were Founders of IvyCap Ventures’ portfolio companies, Avinash B R from Deep Rooted (a leading farm-to-consumer brand that provides urban consumers access to fresh harvest directly sourced from farmers) and Abhishek Negi from Eggoz Nutrition (a brand of eggs making a meaningful impact to improve the protein consumption of people by enriching the lives of the rural egg farmers). The founders shared how their startups are leveraging tech to benefit both farmers and consumers - farmers by getting a better handle on their inputs and supply chain and consumers by ensuring they get the best quality and freshest produce.
